Welcome to learn 2 fly fish with Robin Elwes
I'm Robin Elwes. I have been Farlows' flycasting instructor since 1988. I was taught as a boy by my grandfather and parents.
I have fished extensively throughout the British Isles and the Americas as well as Australia, Christmas Island, Iceland, Norway, Kenya, New Zealand and Russia. My credentials include being resident instructor for the Royal Warrant Holders Associations and have had several teaching assignments for the Game Conservancy and Lawyers Fly Fishing Club.
I am an AAPGAI (Advanced Association of Professional Game Angling Instructors) Master and have helped hundreds of fly fishing beginners take their first steps in this fantastic sport.
For me, fly casting is not only a lifelong passion but an art, and if pursed with dedication and skill will reward you endlessly, not only through the extreme satisfaction derived from a perfect cast, but also by the fish you catch . To this end, my instruction encompasses everything from making your very first cast to the pinnacle of fly presentation – the intricate family of Spey casts. At whatever level you currently are, casting lessons are absolutely fundamental to the enjoyment of fly fishing. By improving your casting, you improve your presentation.
By improving your presentation you WILL improve your catch rate, its that simple.
