1.5km of right hand bank fishing on the most famous fly fishing river in the world. Right Hand bank. Regularly stocked with hard fighting brown and rainbow trout, these free rising fish fight superbly. The beat used to be owned by Capt George Eyston who is best known today for land speed records set in his car Thunderbolt. Between 1937 and 1939 he set three new land speed records taking over from Malcolm Campbell's Bluebird.

The beat will fish 4 rods comfortably but will take 5 at a push. It is located upstream of Mottisfont between Romsey and Stockbridge.

All tackle needed for the day can be hired at a cost of £10.00 per outfit (excluding flies and leaders) or alternatively purchased at Farlows or Sportfish. Lunch can happily be arranged for you if prior notice is given – anything from a sandwich to a 4 course meal! Please let me know your requirements at time of booking, including any special dietary requirements.

The days available are alternative Thursday and Fridays from April to September. Please email me to check availability.

The minimum cost, subject to availability, per rod is:
£380.00 for one person.
£255.00 per person for two people.
£215 per person for three people.
£195.00 per person for four people.

Prices will vary for time of year for example Mayfly time. Please e mail me for prices.

Flyfishing for Grayling on the River Test

Fly-fish for the 'lady of the stream' for Grayling from October to April. For a maximum of 4 rods. Lunch and tackle can be provided as above.
