All tuition is carried out on a Thursday, Friday or a Saturday at a mutually convenient time.

Hourly fly casting Tuition

I carry out hourly tuition at Syon Park, Middlesex. I cover all aspects of fly casting tuition from complete beginners in trout fishing right through to advanced salmon speycasting and double haul saltwater fly casting.

I charge £45.00 per hour, groups can be catered for at a charge of £10.00 per hour for every extra individual.

I am also very happy to provide fly fishing equipment if you are taking your first steps in game angling and will be delighted to advise on any fishing tackle purchases you may be thinking of making.

I am also more than happy to provide fly casting tuition at a venue to suit yourself again at a mutually convenient time, all I would charge as an extra is my mileage costs, currently 35p per mile (both ways).

Half and full day fly fishing and fly casting tuition

Half day fly fishing tuition is carried out again at Syon park for individuals or groups. Cost per person for a half day course is £100.00 for one and an extra £10.00 for every extra individual. The cost for a full day is £200.00 per person and again only an extra £10.00 for every other angler.

These courses cover fly casting, fly fishing tackle, fly fishing techniques, basic entomology (insect behaviour) and fly patterns used to imitate specific insects.

Lunch unfortunately cannot be catered for but please feel free to take advantage of the cafe on site or bring along a packed lunch.

As with individual fly fishing tuition I am more than happy to carry out these fly fishing courses at a venue to suit yourself and your guests, for example John O’Gaunts lake in Hampshire. I would just charge the mileage as above. The additional charges to this would be a rod license which is mandatory to fish any water in the UK and a permit to fish at the selected venue. A day rod license from the environment agency costs around £3.00 and a day ticket at Syon park is £30.00 which allows you to keep 2 Trout, should you be so lucky!
